Happy Goggles by McDonalds was one of the most covered and surprising Virtual Reality projects of 2016. The change to the 30 year old food container would potentially reach over a billion people, and it’s possibilities was called “unfathomable” by fast Company.
So how do you make a VR headset for under $3 - that also includes a full meal? What’s important when building VR for kids? Why focus on the web over native? That’s some of the questions we’ll get answered when two of the guys behind the project visit us to share insights about the process.
Speakers
Sebastian Otarola and Johan Olsson are part of the “Innovation & Prototyping” team at DDB Stockholm, a division dedicated to creative technology, R&D and product development. Before joining DDB, Sebastian lead tech at innovation/strategy firm “Join the carnival” and Johan worked on Google for global creative agency “72andsunny” in both Amsterdam and Los Angeles. Both are also Hyper Island Alumni.
