🏆 It's super interesting and it's entitled "Health Level-Up: Gaming and Sensing Technologies for Healthcare applications" By Dr. Chee Siang (Jim) Ang, Senior Lecturer in Multimedia/Digital Systems

"In this talk, I would like to share with you some of the things we make for health care purposes, including the most challenging patients in secure psychiatry hospitals, people with dementia, and teenagers addicted to mobile phones. A number of case studies will be presented where we worked closely with clinicians, patients and their carers to co-create digital health applications with virtual reality, gaming, mobile and sensing technologies. It has never been a better time in history to be a maker, and through innovative thinking, constructive collaboration and sheer hard work, we can make a significant difference in people’s life."

Bio:
I am a senior lecturer at University of Kent with an interest in healthcare technologies. Originally trained in Computer Science and then in Human Computer Interaction, my collaborations with clinicians and patients in recent years opened my mind to new possibilities of modern video games technologies in healthcare applications.

This will also be a fantastic networking opportunity allowing us to learn, exchange experiences and interact with other attendants!
