Autonomous trucking addresses critical logistical and safety challenges for long-haul transportation and is one of the best applications of Physical AI. But, current AV 1.0 traditional AI and AV 2.0 end-to-end learning have performance and verifiability gaps that raise concerns. The session will outline Torc's AV 3.0 self-driving stack, data loop, and generative AI to deliver high-performance autonomous driving and address long-tail edge cases, required to safely deploy and quickly scale to new Operational Design Domains (ODDs).

About the Speaker:
Dave Tokic leads corporate development at Torc and is a deep tech executive with over 25 years of experience in the automotive, semiconductor and electronic design automation industries. He most recently was VP of marketing and business development at Algolux (acquired by Torc), for AI-based robust perception technologies for automotive and autonomy. Prior to Algolux, he led worldwide strategic partnerships and alliances for Xilinx (acquired by AMD), driving solutions and services partnerships. Tokic has held executive product and partnership positions at Cadence Design Systems, Verisity Design and Synopsys. He holds a BSc in electrical engineering from Tufts University.
