We're excited to announce another Tech Waikato for 29 Nov, with several exciting speakers announced in the coming weeks. Thanks to everyone who has filled out the surveys which help us align with topics our community wants to hear more about.

Speakers & Topics
We have 3 excellent local speakers joining us for this event:
Grant Kay, Product Owner at LIC. "The Challenge of POC to MVP to Long-Lasting Products: LIC's Journey Scaling Animal Data", uses a real-world success story to cover some of the difficulties all companies face when trying to grow their products

Richard Weerasinghe, Senior Principal at Slalom and Founder of Skyscrapr. "From Awkward to Awesome: Automating & Fine Tuning #ai Models", will review different ways to add your own data to Open AI models and a demonstration of automating the process of fine tuning

Fraser Paine, Director of Sales at Aware. "Transforming AI into Profitable Ventures" will review methodologies for identifying valuable, feasible opportunities, and evaluating the impact of solutions using real-world examples

Location & Schedule
All events will again be at LIC's campus at Newstead with plenty of free parking. Doors open at 5pm for a social hour, then tech talks start at 6pm and should finish between 7 and 7:30pm. The meeting space allows attendees to easily move between two sections of the building, one for drinks and networking and the other for listening to our amazing line-up of speakers throughout the night. Nibbles provided and drinks available for purchase via cash/EFTPOS. The events are in-person only.
