Tech Waikato's 12th Event
We're very excited to bring back Tech Waikato for our 12th event to kick off 2025. We're going to start the year with an exploration of learning by diving into how to set yourself up to learn new things, keeping an eye open on learning from interesting places, and a technical retrospective. Stay tuned for announcements of great local speakers over the next few weeks and RSVP on EITHER Meetup, or LinkedIn for free today! Our events are only getting more popular and spaces are limited to get in early!
Agenda
Doors open at 5pm for a social hour, as per usual, and we'll roll into 3 great talks. The sub-theme for this event will be on how to approach learning new skills in both mindset and approach.
- Speaker #1 - Harry Tucker from Canvas-OS - "Finding the Flow in the midst of Chaos"
- Speaker #2 - Nico Johnston-Clark from LIC - "Learning from unusual sources"
- Speaker #3 - Will Overland and Taylor Wilton - "The Endlessly Sinfing Canaries"
Location
The event will again be at LIC's campus at Newstead with free parking. The meeting space allows attendees to easily move between two sections of the building, one for drinks and networking and the other for listening to our amazing line-up of speakers throughout the night. Nibbles provided and drinks available for purchase via cash/EFTPOS. The events are in-person only.
RSVP Rules
-Please RSVP on Meetup or LinkedIn to help us gauge numbers each night
-If you RSVP and can no longer make it, please remember to un-RSVP
-In the unlikely event we near our capacity, spaces will only be guaranteed based on RSVPs. Thanks for understanding.
We can't wait to see you. Feel free to invite and forward to your friends, co-workers, and anyone else you think might enjoy catching up over a drink, hearing some great speakers talk about interesting Tech topics, and/or being part of our growing technology community in the region
