Iris Kramer – ArchAI

ArchAI is de-risking the construction industry by using AI to automatically detect archaeology using earth observation data. Knowing where archaeological sites are located at the earliest planning stages allows accurate estimates of time and cost involved with acquiring planning permission. This eliminates the risk of discovering unexpected historical finds during construction. This means that ArchAI will lower the cost of construction and ensures that vital historical sites are preserved.
ArchAI was founded by Iris Kramer in early 2020, and joined our 10th Geovation accelerator cohort in April of that year. Since then, Iris has successfully closed an investment from the University of Southampton Dragons' Den, been awarded a UK Space Agency and SPRINT grant, been covered in The Times, and been awarded an Enterprise Fellowship to the Royal Academy of Engineering.

Sakthy Selvakumaran – Bkwai

Bkwai are delivering insights to engineers using world-class research and applied technology to support a more resilient built environment. Data has the power to radically transform construction and asset management. But its full potential remains untapped and overlooked.
Their mission is to help engineers get the most out of site data, making infrastructure work smarter, faster and safer.
Their founder, Sakthy, has spent years designing, constructing, and assessing built infrastructure. Through her detailed work around next generation satellite and geospatial data methods, she saw first-hand the game-changing potential of big data – and the failure of existing technologies to harness it.
BKwai was born out of her desire to give engineers fast, hassle-free access to the insights they need.

Ishan has recently launched Travel Hands - a service that aims to connect Visually Impaired People (VIP), with vetted and trained volunteers in their local community, to facilitate a safe and enjoyable travel experience in London. A VIP can submit a trip request that is automatically sent to a volunteer near them, alerting the volunteer to their location. The accepting volunteer will then come and pick-up the VIP and walk towards the requested destination. We are proud to see Ishan designing solutions for many VIP across London and improving disability inclusion through his amazing work!
