Tech Wednesday is our monthly Campus meet-up for Birmingham’s technological and entrepreneurial community. Each month we hear from a number of tech start-ups and individuals within the region, they present and demo innovative projects to the group for feedback and discussion. Please get in touch if you're interested in taking a speaker slot!

We meet at 5.30pm within Innovation Birmingham’s iCentrum building. You can find us in the atrium, however if you’re struggling to locate us our friendly reception staff will point you in the right direction. New faces are always welcome!

COMMONWEALTH GAMES

Technology will perform a critical role in the delivery of a highly successful Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. Join the Birmingham 2022 Technology Team and key suppliers as they discuss how Technology is used at a multi-sport event and what opportunities will be available for those interested in getting involved.

The Birmingham 2022 Technology Team are looking for 15 Technology Project Managers, 25 Deputy Project Managers and a number of Service Desk Analysts, with a variety of start dates leading up to the Commonwealth Games.

SUPERTECH

SuperTech launched a year ago as a cross-sector partnership designed to showcase the talent, innovation, and investment potential of the West Midlands’ rapidly emerging professional services technology (ProfTech) cluster.
The first dedicated ProfTech collaboration of its kind in the UK, this supercluster aims to amplify the voice and potential of regional businesses in sectors that include FinTech, LegalTech, PropTech and InsurTech.
SuperTech is founded around an unwavering belief in the enormous potential of our region. The West Midlands, and our professional services tech cluster are undoubtedly on the rise. We aim to accelerate the development of our cluster by raising its profile, and establishing the West Midlands region as major players on a global stage. Our role is to nurture and promote a thriving ecosystem, resulting in better opportunities for everyone involved.

In the meet-up, Executive Lead for SuperTech, Hilary Smyth-Allen will:

  • give insight into the community and the mission
  • explain the opportunities on offer, including early insight into a soon to be launched financial services sector accelerator
  • take questions and feedback on future activities
