Speaker Bio:
Tim Graves
Tim Graves from the EMEA Cloud Pursuit team will talk about what's been going in Java since version 11. He will be looking at the language changes (sorry, no GC review) and covering how these make Java developers life easier.
Tim Graves is currently a Cloud Native Architect working for Oracle as part of the Europe, Middle East and Africa team. He joined Oracle as part of the Sun Microsystems acquisition in 2010.
He has been working on Cloud projects since 2011 in the communications, device and cloud teams.
In addition to IoT Tim has worked in many parts of Sun and Oracle in the areas of operating systems, security, Java, and storage in field and headquarters roles.
When not working with computers Tim is a keen skier and an unprofessional chef.
Andy Gilbert
Andy has worked for Sun/Oracle for 20 years working as a pre-sales technical engineer talking about Java in embedded and enterprise systems.
Before that he worked for the Real-Time operating system company Wind River Systems as a pre-sales engineer.
He holds a BSc Hons. in Computer Science from Staffordshire University. In his spare time he enjoys Scuba Diving, Cycling and drinking Real Ale.
