Session 3: "Rustic Rust'' a talk by Eric McBride
Eric is a Software Engineer on the Toyota Connected Labs Core Team. I have been writing Rust professionally since 2019 and have written Rust since 2017. I have successfully integrated Rust into Toyota Connected, and pitched the idea to join the Rust Foundation. Day to day work life is integrating our C Vendor Code, into safe Rust FFI API’s, and building out the platform for the team. In my spare time, I like working on my land, playing with my four dogs (A Newfoundland, Corgi/Heeler mix, Chihuahua, and a Great Pyrenees), spending time with my Daughter and Wife, and learning functional programming languages (Been stuck on Haskell for a while now)
