[Data Science] R User's Group - August

Hi All,

Please join us for the R Users Group – August.

So for this upcoming meeting, we’ll change things up a little bit.

1. Introductions (about 5m) – only if there are new people.

2. Lightning Talks (5m a piece, max of 2) – If you’re interested in talking about something, please let me know.

3. Main Presentation (15m-25m) – We could use a speaker for the next session, if you’d like to talk please let me know.

4. Workshop (30m) – We’ll take an open data set, and work with it in our own environment/small groups.

For this upcoming meeting, it’s recommended that you do the following:

1. Install R on your machine, and bring it to the meeting

2. Install RStudio (or another IDE if you prefer something else)

3. Have the ability to connect to EDURoam -or- download the dataset linked, and all libraries you need, before the meeting

Please bring lunch. We’ll start at noon. We may end early, but blocking out what we may need.

We will be meeting at the UI College of Public health. There is limited parking at the building itself, you can find parking at the Newton Parking Ramp, which is located across the footbridge.
