• Who we are
We are a network of techies coming together regularly to share and learn various tech skills. We learn technology by doing and experimenting. Our class style is not a typical one-to-many - everyone can contribute or share skills. If this is what you prefer, feel free to join our sessions. You are welcome to attend for learning or sharing your tech skills.
• What we'll do
Python is a great language to learn and use. It basically can be used to build almost anything.
To make your life easier, it offers many useful tools/libraries. Python is used for backend web development, data analysis, artificial intelligence, scientific computing and so on. Come and learn coding in Python with us.
This group (PY001) is for those who already has basic knowledge of python language. You are expected to know how to work with strings, numbers, lists, dictionaries, conditions, loops, etc. For a complete beginner sessions, refer to our PY000 workshop sessions.
This workshop will cover the following topics:
- Functions
- Classes
- Decorators
- Tips and Tricks
LOCATION:
ACU Collaborate Plus (http://www.acu.edu.au/collaborateplus) is ACU’s entrepreneurship hub for startups and small-medium sized enterprises (SMEs). ACU have hubs on the North Sydney & Strathfield campuses which provide a flexible, creative and inclusive area for students, staff, alumni, startups and SMEs who are working on an innovative startup, project or business idea. And is currently available at no fee! The project is supported by NSW Department of Industry’s Boosting Business Innovation grants.
The Collaborate Plus is in ACU building and about 8 mins walk from North Sydney station.

Laptop
Python 3.X installed beforehand would be good. If not, we'll help you during the session to install it.
