TALK 1: Building Your Personal Brand - For Female Professionals

As a modern female professional, you constantly navigate a social and psychological maze everyday - from meeting new clients to negotiating steering committees. There are decades of well-researched tools and techniques that help us take advantage of these implicit biases and unspoken norms. In this talk, Chau will share some findings of this research and link them together with real life experiences, as part of building your own personal brand.

About the speaker:

Chau Lam - Professional Development Coach and Founder, Inspired Professionals

With over a decade of experience as a Cloud Consultant, Agile Coach and Innovation Manager, Chau has worked across several industry verticals - from healthcare NFPs to tertiary education institutions. Focusing on organisational transformation, her work in Cloud and Innovation has shaped enterprise IT strategies and informed national development policies.

Driven by her passion in learning and communication, Chau had won prestigious awards for her work on the Student Engagement Program at Monash University. She frequently taught lectures and spoke at conferences on Scaled Agile, Service Operations, and professional best practices.

Communication can make or break a relationship, a career, a change – and in the workplace we’re often trying to change people’s thoughts, decisions, and actions.

Friska Wirya has worked all over the world, communicating with people from all walks of life, industries, and professions. She will share communication best practices, tips on how to manage common difficult stakeholders and how to increase the persuasiveness and influence of your communication.

About the speaker:

Friska Wirya - Principal Owner, Fresh by Friska

Friska has been a transformation and change leader for nearly a decade. She headed up change at Newcrest Mining, the largest global gold miner on the ASX, and was Global Change Lead at Worley, leading change programs impacting up to 23,000 across the seven continents.

A lifelong learner and self-confessed geek, her communications flair has proven to be a compelling cost mitigation and productivity boosting strategy.
