Tech for Good London - better data for better futures
Details
Our April Meetup poses the question, 'Better data for a better future?'
Hear from a selection of speakers leading the 'data for good' space, including:
- Giselle Cory of DataKind UK. Giselle will give us the lowdown on the Data Collective, a community for people who work in the UK social sector, and use or want to use data. The pilot of the community was set up on the premise that good data use can make charities and civil society organisations more effective, and better serve communities. We'll hear how it's been going and what they've learned. For a sneak preview, check out their blog: https://data-collective.org.uk/blog/
Other speakers TBC soon. Each talk will be 7-10 minutes, followed by Q&A.
We'll also have the usual Community Announcements slot for anyone to share a job opportunity, product/service launch, request for or offer of testers/partners/funding etc. Let us know if you can't be there but would like to make a shout-out.
We're starting this event a little earlier to be more inclusive of parents. Talks and Q&A will kick off around 4.45pm, followed by Community Announcements. Then anyone who wants to stay on to reflect on the talks and connect with the community is more than welcome!
