Morning Meetup: Consistent Events in the face of Eventual (in)Consistency

Details
In a big enterprise like Danske Bank, it is inevitable that we will seek to move away from a system with centralized data storage to a system where data is distributed among several services to ensure that data can be delivered with low latency and processed with high throughput. Concretely at Danske, we can no longer rely on the transactions in Db2 to ensure sane data modifications but must contend with a system whose data is regularly in an inconsistent state.
This talk will be about how we are reining in the inconsistencies of the current distributed system and particularly we will be looking into how we are ensuring reliable backwards compatible event publishing even as we are replacing the services that are sources of inconsistency and taking a step back which will enable us to build a more consistent distributed system in the future.
