Better Alerts (https://betteralerts.com/) l @MyBetterAlerts (https://twitter.com/MyBetterAlerts)

Better Alerts LLC is a medical alert app that works in conjunction with smartphones and Pebble Smart Watches to bring high-tech, leading-edge technology to caregivers and their loved ones. Founder Doug Hopkins and his team have over 20 years of experience in the medical alert industry. Throughout their careers in the field, they noticed a lack of advancement in medical alert products as other technology improved. Because of this, Doug created Better Alerts: a system that detects falls and immediately alerts caregivers, sends medicine reminders to caregivers and their loved ones, allows caregivers to set a “Safe Zone” which will send alerts with GPS tracking when a loved one leaves a designated area, allows users to contact up to 10 caregivers or contact 911 using the buttons on the Pebble Smart Watch, and sends daily activity reports to caregivers. Better Alerts strives to make the connection between caregivers and loved ones more reliable and responsive.

EyeIC (http://www.eyeic.com/) l @EyeIC_Support (https://twitter.com/EyeIC_Support)

EyeIC is a leading digital health provider of software and systems that aid clinicians in the early detection and management of retinal eye disease in at-risk populations. Based in Wayne, PA, its MatchedFlicker software helps eye specialists more accurately detect retinal disease progression at its earliest stages using digital fundus photos by automatically generating animations that enable viewers to immediately ‘spot the difference’ between a pair of nearly identical images. Also, the EyePACS Solution enables the nearly 30 million diabetic patients in the U.S. to obtain recommended annual retinal exams for early disease detection as part of a regular primary care visit. The system utilizes standard ophthalmic photographic equipment in the primary care office, combined with remote interpretations by eye doctors via telemedicine to ensure high quality assessment of risk for vision loss due to retinal disease, but in a much more convenient and efficient manner than relying on a referral to an eye doctor.

SurgeryTrack (http://www.surgerytrack.com/) l @SurgeryTrack (https://twitter.com/surgerytrack)

SurgeryTrack is an extremely simple tool for surgeons and care teams to obtain real-time data about their patients’ preparation and recovery from surgery. Surgeons create and prescribe treatment specific "track packs" for their patients. Patients are invited to download the app to their iOS or Android device. They are then notified throughout the recovery to answers questions to a series of asynchronous messages relating to the day of surgery. Questions like "take a picture of your incision", "rate your level of pain”, or “what is your range of motion" are typical items of a track pack. But the system is capable of allowing the surgeon to decide what to ask, and when, as part of their own personal track pack and the analytics from the data help the care team decide how people are recovering. TowerView Health helps chronically ill patients manage complex medication regimens. Patients using our service receive pre-filled medication trays that insert into our proprietary connected pillbox, like a K-Cup fits into a Keurig coffee machine. Our pillbox senses when patients forget medication doses and sends automated text message or phone reminders to patients and their loved ones. We work directly with nurses at hospitals and insurance companies to target outreach to patients who need it most.
