👩🏽‍💻 Getting started in the Tech Industry 💫

We're kicking off Tech Jumpstart with a royal 💥bang💥 on Tuesday 9th May!

Our first event will start with an initial intro of many aspects of the Tech industry from Dan Wallman, Managing Directory of TechNative Digital who are co-hosting the event - he'll walk through the many different sectors and jobs available within it.

We'll then switch to a in industry panel discussion. We've got an amazing line up of people who are all at different stages in their Tech career journey and have a story to tell, and we're really thrilled they're sharing their time and experience with us!

Our first Tech Jumpstart panel will include:

Chris Palk - Vice President of Engineering at Certn / Chairman at DabApps
Ryan Littlemore Senior Azure Lead at Microsoft
Laura Mawer, Data and Analytics Consultant at Datacove
Emma Pegler - Customer Success Manager at Expert Thinking

They'll be giving us some details on how they initially got involved, routes they took to get in and also any tips they've picked up for people looking to follow their path. They represent a cross section of skills so no matter which area of Tech you're looking to get involved with, you should be able to take something from this.

Note, there aren't going to be any technical presentations - we'll start some basic technical sessions soon. We're very interested at the moment in understanding what kinds of information and resources people are looking for. Plus we'll have food and drinks on hand so you can network with like minded others, along with Antony, Dan and the panel afterwards!

The amazing folk at Spaces are hosting the event at their venue (details below) and our wonderful friends at Silicon Brighton will be setting up the AV, streaming live on YouTube and providing food and drinks for us to enjoy as we chat before and after the event.

Our Event Format is Hybrid:

• You can join us in-person: 6:00pm @ Spaces, Trafalgar Place (see photos and location details for directions/map). ** Note, when you arrive, if the blue gate is shut, use the intercom to buzz security and say you are attending the event in Spaces. **
