The goal is to have enough diversified people to create interesting use cases and learn stuff

Are you ready to take over the world with AI? Then join us for the OpenAI Hackathon to build with Whisper, GPT-3, DALL-E 2 and Codex from OpenAI!

You will form small groups and imagine and build a proof of concept using the outstanding features provided by OpenAI:

  • Whisper is a speech recognition system that can accurately recognize words from web-sourced data, even in the presence of technical language, accents, and background noise.
  • GPT-3 is a natural language text completion system that can generate text based on a prompt or example.
  • DALL-E 2 is an AI system that creates realistic images and art based on natural language descriptions.
  • Codex is a GPT-3-based system that can understand and generate code in various programming languages, including Python, JavaScript, Go, Perl, PHP, Ruby, Swift, and TypeScript.

  • All winning projects will be featured on the Whire and Tech Makers blogs, newsletter and social media channels.
  • Showcase your work and celebrate your achievements and new friendships during our Demo Party at the end of the day!

Language

The event will be conducted in English.

Who should participate?
Previous experience in AI is not required.
While many participants are developers and product designers, we also welcome people with other types of domain knowledge that want to explore how AI can be used in their fields

How about teams?
Cross-functional teams will be formed in the morning after our ideation workshop so be sure to be there on time.
If you come as a group, be open to working in different teams.

How to participate in the hackathon
Bring your laptop and a pen. The rest is up to you.

Detailed schedule

  • 10:05am - all members introduce themselves
  • 10:30am - facilitation of an ideation workshop
  • 11:30am - cross-functional teams form and select an idea
  • 06:00pm - stop coding and prepare the demo
  • 06:30pm - demo party where groups showcase their work
  • then, enjoy the party doors close at 10:00pm, beers are on us!
