#techMAP London - 6th June - Social Vs Gaming Content w/ Jagex

Details

With June quick approaching its time to properly announce of techMAP event for Monday 6th June - 6pm start as usual.

We're bringing you a detailed look into Gaming and the Social Media Industry from one of the nations leading gaming companies Jagex Games Studio.

Tanya Laird - Online Product Manager at Jagex will be talking to us about the use of gaming content in our social campaigns and a discussion on 'social Vs gaming' content.

"The move from MMO game building and casual game building into the “social” game building space. Drilling down into the success of traditional online gaming giants and the trend that’s emerging for both causal game makers such as Zynga and Playfish to strive for deeper engagement (beyond the traditional gating “squeeze them to death” approach) and traditional MMO’s trying to strive towards more casual, socially focused, shorter game session experiences (such as Age of Empires online’s new makeover and Civilisation’s new Facebook game). Understanding what’s been a success factor for MMO’s over the last 10 years and how to leverage the forces of community marketing and advocacy for social gaming is a critical factor for the future success of “social” games versus “casual” games."

Join us at 6pm for networking and drinks, 7pm for the talk and Q&A at our now regular venue - The Long Acre (https://www.meetup.com/techmaplondon/venue/789759/?eventId=17245533&popup=true) - 1-3 Long Acre, WC2E 9LH London.
