Tech Meetup Glasgow - June 2024

Details

Join us at Civic House, Glasgow on the first Thursday of each month for our free event featuring two talks on tech with soft drinks and pizza.

June's talks:

✨ Speaker 1: David Bell - Grab, Connect, Create: Accelerating Innovation with Open Source AI

I want to take a look at how open source AI models are shifting the way we can approach product development. Imagine significantly reducing months of R&D into just a few days. This isn't just theoretical, it's now possible.

In this talk, we'll explore practical examples of how teams can use pre-trained models to fast-track their journey from initial idea to production-ready tool, and showcase how combining multiple models can exponentially enhance your project's capabilities.

Whether you are working on your own projects, part of a small startup or operating as part of a much larger team, there is potential to bring more agility and innovation into your workflow.

Speaker 2: TBC

---

All are welcome and there is no requirement to have any level of tech knowledge or experience to attend, just a desire to learn. Come along (bring your friends), network and learn something new with us!

To make Glasgow's Tech Meetup welcoming for people joining for the first time we implement the PacMan Rule.

The rule is:
“When standing as a group of people, always leave room for 1 person to join your group.”

More memorably, stand like Pac-Man! You can learn more about this here.
