Turning software into computer chips – Hastlayer
Doors Open 18:15 - Presentation 19:00 Sharp
YOUR SPEAKER
Zoltan is co-founder and managing director of Lombiq Technologies, and the originator of the Hastlayer project. His main expertise is in .NET software development and software architecture design.
Zoltan is a core contributor of the ASP.NET Orchard CMS, and guest lecturer at Óbuda University, John von Neumann Faculty of Informatics.

TURNING SOFTWARE INTO COMPUTER CHIPS _ HASTLAYER Software is flexible, specialized hardware is extremely fast.
So why not write software, then turn it into a computer chip?
This is what Hastlayer does by transforming .NET software into electronic circuits. The result is faster and uses less power while you simply keep on writing software. You may not be able to tell just by looking at it but behind some function calls now actually embedded hardware is working!
(You wonder how? Check out what FPGAs are!
In this demo-packed session we'll get an overview of what Hastlayer is, why it is useful for developers like you and how to write Hastlayer-compatible software.
AND AFTERWARDS
We will be having beers and pizza courtesy of our sponsors.

The organisers reserve the right to cancel the booking if the attendee is not aligned to the intended audience. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK A SEAT UNLESS YOU ARE 100% SURE TO ATTEND
There's only room for limited numbers at this event (40), and pre - registrations are given priority - DO THAT CLICK HERE..... https://ti.to/techmeetupspace/dublin-net-developers-and-dublin-software-craftsmanship-community
Doors open 18:15, Presentations at 19:00.
In 2018, the Dublin Software Craftsmanship Community event takes place in our regular format...
If you're using some new technology you think others would be interested in, if you've got a design or some code you'd like to discuss or have been battling with, if you'd like to discuss a specific practice, a problem you are having at work or you'd simply like to see what others have got to say, the Dublin Software Craftsmanship Community invite you to come along and join in the debate.
How does it work?
The first 15 minutes will be devoted to lightning talks. So if you've got a cool demo, some new technology or just something you think the group might find interesting, controversial or just plain funny, bring it along and share with the group!
Message one of the organisers here if you are interested in giving a talk. (https://www.meetup.com/Dublin-Software-Craftsmanship-Community/)
Don't worry if you've never given a lightning talk before - this is a great opportunity to give a talk in a friendly environment. We'll have a projector and a whiteboard and all talks are restricted to no more than five minutes. The rest of the evening will be run as an open space (you can look here (http://www.mindviewinc.com/Conferences/OpenSpaces) to see how an open space runs).
