Panel Discussion: Using video content for technical communication

Details
Join us on Wednesday, March 27 for a panel discussion on using video content for technical communication.
As organizations move toward more digitized content (refreshing traditional methods of communicating technical information, instructions, and manuals) there are more options for formatting content than ever before—website content, PDFs, video content, infographics, virtual-led training, and more! A popular form of communication is video content, but when is it appropriate to use videos; and can videos act as stand-alone communication methods?
Our panel of experts will share their experiences, knowledge, and personal best practices around when to use video content, how to tackle video content production, and when video content alone is enough to communicate technical information.
Panel participants:
Greg Campbell, Communication Instructor, University of Waterloo
As an Instructional Designer at the University of Waterloo, Greg helps students apply relevant communication concepts to public speaking in the traditional sense, as well as within digital environments.
Mark Ladouceur, Training Media Developer, Igloo Software
With a background in technical writing, courseware development, and instructional design, Mark currently leads the development of training media at Igloo Software.
Graham Yeates, Voiceover Actor
Having provided voiceover acting for animation, commercial narration, eLearning, film, and television, Graham brings a unique perspective to the art of communicating complex ideas through video content and uses his skills to deliver technical information effectively for various audiences.
