Our July event is the bi-annual celebration of women in tech. We are partnering with PDX Women in Tech, ChickTech, Lesbians Who Tech, PyLadies PDX, and Girls Inc. Northwest to bring you a fantastic event.

The theme this month is "How Oregon Funds Innovation" and we have put together an incredible panel. Our three panelists an entrepreneur, a VC, and an angel investor, and they are some of the most successful women in tech in Portland.

Our Panelists

Monica Enand (https://www.linkedin.com/in/monicaenand) - CEO, Zapproved

Monica has grown Zapproved into a leading cloud-based software provider for corporate legal. Prior to founding Zapproved, Monica had over 15 years with blue-chip companies such as Intel and IBM. Monica holds an MBA from University of Portland and a BS in Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.

Monica is a frequent speaker and an active member in the entrepreneurial community in Portland. Monica was appointed by the Governor of Oregon to the Oregon Growth Board. Additionally, she serves on the board of the Technology Association of Oregon as well as on the board of Auth0. In 2015, Monica was recognized by the Portland Business Journal as one of the top ten Executives of the Year.

Angela Jackson (https://www.linkedin.com/in/angelajackson) - Managing Director, Portland Seed Fund

Angela Jackson is co-founder and managing director of the Portland Seed Fund, a private/public seed fund with $10 Million+ under management. The Fund invest has invested in 70+ high growth, capital-efficient companies primarily in the Northwest. She also oversees the award-winning Portland State University Business Accelerator, with 30+ resident biotech, technology and cleantech companies. Prior, Angela made angel investments in multiple sectors and advised entrepreneurs and seed-stage companies across a broad spectrum of industries. Angela credits her serial entrepreneur family history with much of her comfort in the trenches of seed investment. She holds a B.A. in English and history from Boston University and a M.A. in environmental studies from University of Oregon. She was recently named the 2015 Woman of Influence/entrepreneur category by Portland Business Journal. She serves on the boards of Crowd Supply, the Oregon Film Board and TIE Oregon, and the grassroots public policy committee of Angel Capital Association.

Julie Gulla (https://www.linkedin.com/in/julie-gulla-4ba154) - SVP, Morgan Stanley

Julie Gulla is a Senior Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager with Morgan Stanley, having joined the firm in 1993. As Executive Financial Services Director, she leads one of the top Pacific Northwest private client groups. She earned her Certified Investment Management Analyst designation from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton Business School and holds a B.A. in Finance and Marketing.

Julie is an active angel investor and is a founding member of the Oregon Angel Fund. She sits on the advisory board for the Morgan Stanley Impact Investing Platform, and is on the Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Council. She is a long term member of the Investment Management Consultants Association and Portfolio Managers Institute, and a former board member at Oregon Entrepreneur Network.
