Prepare Red Cross Register of Pledges for Internationalisation
Details
The International Conference of Red Crosses and Red Crescents takes place on Dec 7-9, 2015 in Geneva.
The International Conference is a unique global forum bringing together the States Parties to the Geneva Conventions of 1949 and the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, including the 189 National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, their International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (International Federation) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) with its specific mandate established under the Geneva Conventions.
The Conference provides a non-political forum for dialogue on humanitarian issues.

This is a timely opportunity for the Irish Red Cross to share their learnings from the Register of Pledges initiative with their International colleagues.

In order for the Irish Red Cross to best promote this initiative internationally we are going to significantly improve the User Experience with help from the excellent strategic design company Each & Other who will be hosting us on the day.
In addition to moving the Register of Pledges to the RefugeeBnB.com platform, our objectives are as follows:
- Redesign Frontend Register of Pledges
Introduce progressive disclosure to form. Eliminate Free Text etc
2. Login & change option
Ability to change pledge after it is entered is a shortcoming of current version
3. Finalise Schema for backend Data
Data captured in forms maps down to a database schema, designed with search and data analysis in mind
4. Data migration
How to handle people who have already registered
5. Search interface
To sit on top of data i.e. a secure interface for Red Cross staff to search the data
6. System Testing Technical
Test that functionality operates as designed
7. UAT (User Acceptance Testing)
End user testing to ensure it is 'fit for purpose' in a real live scenario
8. Rollout Plan
Where to host, how other countries can plug and play
