    The event is hosted by Murray Arenson, CEO of Pluribus Capital and Managing Director of ConnectNow. ConnectNow is a leading access to capital program from Innovation Pavilion in partnership with Pluribus Capital.

Don has spent the last 35 years creating, building and growing various size organizations in the technology sector, with a primary focus on software. His pioneering efforts have spanned the early days of computer technology to today, from start ups to large corporations. Don’s operational focus has been in organizational and market development, branding, growing marketshare and creating strategic direction.
Don was employed at JDEdwards Corporation from 1989 to 2002 During that time they grew revenues from 14 million dollars to almost one billion dollars. In 1998, Don was instrumental in the public offering of JDE. In raising 350 Million in equity, it was one of the largest offerings of the time. In 2002 JDE was sold to Peoplesoft corporation and eventually to Oracle. In his last position as Senior Vice President of Americas, he oversaw 1300 employees and had P&L responsibilities for 580 million dollars of revenue. During this time, he oversaw revenue growth of 25% - 30% annually and was instrumental in the launch of field offices world-wide, including, the U.S., South America, Europe and Asia. In addition, he held positions at JDE of Regional Director, General Manager and Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
In 2003, Don co-founded a company called Alcohol Monitoring Systems, Inc. AMS invented an ankle bracelet that monitors alcohol in your blood. As a founding member, he was instrumental in raising 23 million in equity for the initial funding to start company. During this time, Don created, hired and built the customer service, marketing and sales organizations as well as assisted in all aspects of the start up organization. In addition to the internal organizations, he created a distribution channel which consisted of a network of 200 resellers in the US, Canada, UK and Australia to market the AMS products. AMS has grown to 200 employees and numerous product offerings. After a recent equity infusion, AMS had a market capitalization of almost 100 million dollars. Don stepped away from day to day operations on January 1, 2014 but remains a large shareholder in the Company.
Don has been a Director for numerous not for profit organizations and currently serves on the Board of Directors for W.J.E., Inc., a large engineering firm based in Chicago Illinois and is active in the angel investment community.
