TransferWise started a few years ago before micro services took the tech world by storm. Facing engineering and scalability issues our architecture evolved. Migrating from one single monolithic service to dozens of micro services has been quite of a journey! While all of this was going on we have also built and released the Borderless Account - a global digital account.
