Following on from the success of last year's event;

We will be running several sessions from GEC, as outlined below, at our upcoming meetup.
Members are welcome to participate for the full day, or to drop-in for single sessions.
Also, a special welcome to Simon Colreavy-Donnelly and his Students from De Montfort University who will be joining us for the day.

Travis George, co-founder at Vela Games
Discussing 'What I wish someone had told me'
Bio:
Growing up playing video games his whole life, one day Travis decided to make the leap to creator. After learning to program and working at Activision, Travis was deeply inspired by playing World of Warcraft, and eventually ended up at Riot Games early on where he lead Gameplay Production on League of Legends for many years. After a long tenure at Riot, a move from California to Ireland, and an MBA, Travis co-founded Vela Games with the idea that games can build lasting connections and unite players together.

Anton Gerdelan, Senior Software Engineer at DAQRI
Discussing 'Experiences Working in the Augmented Reality Industry'
Bio:
Currently working at DAQRI making augmented reality devices and previously, an academic at Trinity College Dublin where Anton undertook some lecturing activities and wrote a student book to teach opengl programming.

The 02:00pm Session with
Guillaume Pellerin, CEO at Zoobox
who will discuss his experience with the GEC University Programme.
