Code for Tampa Bay Special Meeting

Since our normal monthly date is Labor Day and the hackathon is less than a month away, we've moved the date forward to Wednesday the 13th.

Note CHANGED VENUE CHANGE :) We'll meet this week at TAMPA BAY WAVE. YES WE CAN still bring beer if we want!

I HAD A VERY PRODUCTIVE MEETING TODAY WITH RON MONTGOMERY (MOSQUITO CONTROL DIRECTOR). HE WILL BE ATTENDING ALONG WITH A PUBLIC WORKS GIS ANALYST SO EVERYONE CAN MEET OUR "CUSTOMERS" AND GAIN A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF THEIR NEEDS.

Now that we have (EVEN MORE!) mosquito control data, we can continue working with it as time permits during this event and after. And Ron can tell us anything we want to know about it.

So come on out and learn more about our hackathon plans and resources!

Also, we will probably start having weekly meetings in advance of the hackathon so check for updates and news on Meetup. The hackathon venue is in flux. The WAVE has agreed to act as backup but other options are possible. This event has come back from the dead so many times in the past few weeks that it must be a buddist.

I've decided that I have cancelled this Hackathon for the last time! It will happen even if it's me and another guy meeting in a bar! (My team's WIN at HACK HOSPITALITY this past weekend didn't hurt my attitude)

We need money for food: or we could just order pizza. Money for prizes would be nice, but isn't it really about bragging rights and resume entries anyway? I don't care let's make this thing happen!
