February Meetup - Microsoft Graph Up Close and Personal with Jim O'Neil

Details

TVUG will be welcoming back Jim O'Neil for his "Microsoft Graph Up Close and Personal" session.

Microsoft Graph is the gateway to data and intelligence in Microsoft 365. For developers, the Microsoft Graph provides RESTful, authenticated access to users profile and activities within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem including Office, Window s 10, Azure Active Directory, and more. When you integrate with Graph you are able to provide end-users a more personalized (if not prescient) experience by melding the vast amounts of utilization data in Microsoft 365 with your application’s own unique business value. In this talk we’ll outline the Graph ecosystem and API surface, experiment with low-barrier to entry tools (like Graph Explorer), and build a simple, single-page application that leverages a few of the Graph APIs.

Jim is a Microsoft Azure MVP and a Senior Architect at the Digital Innovation division of Insight where he focuses on cloud-first applications with particular emphasis on IoT solutions for a wide variety of clients. As a member of the great(er) Boston tech community, he’s a perennial volunteer and coordinator of Boston Code Camp, New England GiveCamp, and Global Azure Bootcamp. When not geeking out with the cloud, he’s geeking out discovering his own roots via DNA and traditional genealogy and exploring craft brews (sometimes simultaneously).
