What weβre about
"Inspiring talks and discussions to stretch our minds"
We aim to meet monthly to share our passions and expertise with each other. At a typical event, 2-3 volunteer speakers from the group talk about something they care about, followed by questions. Occasionally, we shall be organising themed panel discussions and also be attending other talks/panel discussions as a group.
We are a group of curious people from all walks of life who want to learn and get inspired from each other. The process also improves understanding of the "other side". Everyone is welcome to join, as long as you are curious.
To be a speaker at an event, you can talk about anything you care about; work, life experience, passion project, your big idea, etc. You donβt need to be an expert speaker. On the contrary, you are encouraged to use this group to better your public speaking skills. If you're interested in speaking, just email (support@tedstyletalks.freshdesk.com) the organisers with a summary of your topic. Note that all topics are encouraged, but sales pitches and anything discriminatory or defamatory is not welcome. If in doubt, ask.
The tickets to the events will be "pay what you feel" to help cover costs while also keeping the door open to attend/trial the event for free.
