Seoul TED Talks Meetup (Seoul, Korea)

Meet new friends and learn precious lessons from TED talks together.

-----Why I created this group-----
I wanted to provide a platform to meet new friends and learn together for everyone living in or near Seoul.

-----Expected Consequences ----- 
You will make new friends.  
You will learn life-changing lessons.  
You will achieve self-fulfillment.

-----Time-----
We will meet weekly on Saturday 10 AM, for about two hour.

-----Location-----
We will meet at Starbucks coffee shop at Dangsan Station exit 8, which is 스타벅스 당산대로점.
We will meet at the 2nd floor of the Starbucks coffee shop.
Dangsan Station is on Seoul Subway Lines #2 and #9.
(location : 서울시 영등포구 양평로 22)

-----Language-----
Preferably English, because many TED talks are in English, but whatever language is fine.

-----Who should join----- 
Anyone who want to make changes in their lives by implementing lessons learned from TED talks.

------Preparation before you come-----
1. Select a TED Talk you want to watch 
2. Watch it and think about why the TED Talk is important or relevant to you
3. Let us know your choice by putting a message including the title and speaker of the TED Talk.
So that we can watch your TED talk before we meet.

-----What to do together------
1. Introduce a TED Talk that you want to share
2. Explain why this TED Talk is important or relevant to you
3. Tell us how to apply the lesson into our life

Hello, I am Seung-Gyoon Park, the organizer of this group.

Thanks for joining and supporting this group.

I have not organized any event since Feb 2020 due to the COVID-19.

And I still don't think I can run any offline event because of the virus.

Of course, I want to meet everyone again.

Of course, I want to ask you many questions about your lives.

Yes, I really enjoyed every event 

because even though we met in Seoul 

I felt being in a real global society by meeting people in this group.

However, I think it is still not appropriate to organize face-to-face meetings on Nov 2020.

I think we should still keep our safety distances to each other.

I hope every member in this group to stay healthy, to keep your masks on, and to think positive.

I can't respond fast so sometimes new visitors get no response from me in this room immediately.

Hello friends, Happy New Year !

Even though I want to organize off-line meetings,

I still can't open any session due to the covid-19.

I value the security and safety of everyone in this group.

So I don't think I can open any off-line session soon.

For those who want to participate online discussions,

I was not asked to promote this "tedcircles.com" 

but I am suggesting this site for the sake of you,

especially for those who want to discuss online about the TED videos.

Unfortunately, I am not in the situation to run online group,

Anyway, once we begin to live in the safe and secure world against covid-19,

I will open the off-line sessions 

and we will meet as we've done before.
