Happy New Year, TEDheads!

Let's have a change of scenery. For January, we're moving back to a restaurant! I'm reserving a room at Ballydoyle in Downers Grove. Some of you might remember meeting there. This way, we'll get food and drinks, and we don't have to rush out the door at 8:30. Plenty of time for conversations and an extra video. Also, our turnout at the library has not been sustainable.

This month, let's review the way we get our news, and our news filters, siloes, and bubbles. Once upon a time, news came from the mass media. Now, with our technology, we filter and curate our news, we do not get the same information as our neighbors, and we get increased polarization.

So come on out to Downers Grove on a Wednesday evening. This time, small plates/ appetizers are on me. We'll watch videos, share deep thoughts, and solve the polarization crisis, now with eats and drinks.
