Hi,
I'm Tom, I'm 75, retired. Worked in the Scouting program for 34 years. This is something new for me. I worked for 10+ years with a rescue center in NYC with boys age 6 to 16 who were rescued from the street sex sale of boys. All of what I did was on the computer, not face to face. The center listed me as an At Risk Youth Councilor. I was given the hard to reach boys.
What I'd like to do with this group is get families of young boys and girls who consider themselves in the LGBTQ group together to talk about their feeling and try to help the families to see that their child is who they are. Being gay doesn't separate them from the family.
I am not a professional by any means, just someone who has been working with boys a long time. I can't say I know a lot about girls but I think something like this could be helpful. Please let me know if you intend to be at the event.

There is a website put together to show that boys can be themselves with their feelings and it might help people understand. This site is set up many for boys but I think the same applies to girls.
