TAMI Meshtastic Workshop: The Second Iteration

Join us for the second iteration of the hands-on Meshtastic workshop at TAMI Hackerspace (Tel Aviv), where you’ll learn how to build and run your own LoRa mesh node. This is a practical, small-group session designed for hackers, makers, and curious explorers of off-grid communication.

This event is a continuation of the first iteration, where participants who paid for DIY kits will assemble their kits and build a new Heltec V4 Meshtastic node.

Those who did not yet participate and\or on the waiting list for AUDIT or BRING YOUR OWN NODE option can join us to this event.

Those who wish to join a future event and bring their own assembly kit then, can fill and join the waiting list.

What to Expect:

• Intro to Meshtastic: decentralized, encrypted LoRa mesh networking.
• Step-by-step DIY node assembly with guidance.
• Configuration, channel setup, and live testing of the network.
• Add a pre-configured EXCLUSIVE Encrypted channel Only available for TAMI community's Meshtastic Comms.
• Discussion on mesh use cases: emergency comms, community networks, experiments.

What to Bring:

• If you are bringing your own kit, make sure you a battery and antenna with the node. If you are bringing other nodes that are not Heltec V3 or V4, specify it in the form or contact me.
• Laptop or phone for configuring your node (optional but recommended).

Finding the Group:

• Location: TAMI Hackerspace, Tel Aviv.
• Look for the group setting up LoRa radios.

מה מחכה לכם:

• היכרות עם Meshtastic: רשת LoRa מבוזרת ומוצפנת.
• הרכבת Node DIY שלב־אחר־שלב בליווי הדרכה.
• הגדרות, פתיחת ערוצים ובדיקות חיות של הרשת.
• הוספת ערוץ בלעדי ומוצפן מראש, זמין רק לקהילת TAMI Meshtastic.
• דיון בשימושים שונים: תקשורת לשעת חירום, רשתות קהילתיות, ניסויים טכנולוגיים.

מה להביא:
אם ברצונך להביא ערכה משלך, יש לוודא שיש לך סוללה ואנטנה מתאימים (915 Mhz). למכשירים אחרים שאינם Heltec V3 או V4, יש לציין זאת בטופס וליצור איתי קשר.
