TAMI π תאמי

TAMI π is a periodic meeting that includes workshops or presentations about a topic in math. It happens every two weeks at TAMI. The event is hosted by a different person each time. You can come, learn topics and share ideas in an open and informal atmosphere.

This week we will talk about Multi Dimensional Scaling. Estimating the location of n points in space from just the distance measurements between them (with a bit of ambiguity which can be resolved).

תאמי π היא סידרת מפגשים חוזרים הכוללים סדנאות והרצאות על נושאי במתמטיקה. זה קורה כל שבועיים בתאמי. את הנושיים ומרצאים מתחלפים בכל פעם. תוכלו לבוא, ללמוד נושאים ולחלוק רעיונות באווירה פתוחה ונעימה.

השבוע נדבר על קנה מידה רב-ממדי. הערכת מיקומן של n נקודות במרחב רק ממדידות המרחק ביניהן (עם מעט עמימות שניתן לפתור).
