Telecoms Evangelist No.6!

After a very successful 5th event we are pleased to announce the details of Telecoms Evangelist No.6!

This will take place on the 23rd October with speakers Shahram G Niri & Vaia Sdralia in Paddington, London.

Vaia Sdralia:

Vaia has over 12 years of experience in mobile telecommunications with a track record in driving product strategy & innovation, product management, product marketing and presales activities. She is currently Director of Technology Strategy at Vodera working on the intersection of mobile and social media. Previously she held positions with Samsung Electronics, NEC Europe and Stoke Inc where she carried out novel R&D and drove the product strategy for 3G and 4G products that were deployed by Tier 1 and Tier 2 mobile operators. She holds a PhD in Computer Science (Telecoms), an MSc in Telematics and a Diploma in Informatics.

Presentation Title: "Integration of LTE and WiFi small cells: Will it be a success?"

Dr Shahram G Niri - General Manager – 5GIC (5G Innovation Center)

Dr Shahram G Niri is a thought leader and recognized expert in the field of mobile communication technology and has held senior positions within a number of companies such as R&D, operators and manufacturers for the past 20 years. He is currently the General Manager for 5GIC (5G Innovation Center) in the University of Surrey where previously he was a Visiting Professor. Prior to this role, he was the VP of Sales and Operation in AWTG and also the Director of Global LTE and SAE Strategy & Solution at NEC Europe. He has been an advisor and also provided consultancy to a wide range of clients such as network operators, blue chip manufacturer, regulatory bodies and R&D sectors. Dr. Niri holds several patents in mobile communications and has published over 50 technical papers and articles in this field.
