Llyn Peris reservoir , Dolbadarn Castle, disused slate quarries of Dinorwig

6 mile circular walk from Dolbadarn castle park car park @ Llyn Padarn. follow the A4086 towards the electric mountain and the car park is on the left before the power station
circling the reservoir of Llyn Peris and climbing above the power station at the electric mountain through the disused and abandoned slate quarries of Dinorwig. Steep steps on the descent.
A visit to the slate museum following the walk is optional.
This walk has some spectacular views and gives a taste of the slate mining industry that supplied the world in the 19th century with roofs.
As usual boots and poles are recommended.
Dogs must be on a lead at all times.
