The Falcon Wanderers Volkssporting Club is hosting a volksmarch at the US Air Force Academy's Farish Recreation Area in Woodland Park on Saturday September 26th. This year's walk will start from Leo Lake and there will be several routes (5 Km to 10 Km) available. The walk will wind through the wooded forest and scenic open meadows of the US Air Force Academy's Farish Recreation area, located northwest of Rampart Reservoir. The 5 Km and 10 Km trail routes are both on narrow (single track) dirt trails and gravel roads with uneven surfaces. For more details please see the event brochure posted on the event photos page.

Walkers may start at any time between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM and must finish by 3:00 PM. Note walkers doing the 10 Km route must start by 10:00 AM. For all participants who want the IVV stamp in their record books there will be a $3 fee payable to the Falcon Wanderers; for all other walkers the participation fee will be $2 per person.
All participants are requested to pre-register by contacting the event organizer via email at Walking@falconwanderers.org.

Restrooms (porta-potties) will be available at the start/finish. Food will be available for purchase from Outdoor Rec following the walk; water will be available at the start and at checkpoints. Pets are welcome but must be kept on leash at all times. Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. This means picking up, packing out, and properly disposing of pet waste.
Following the walk, food will be available for purchase from AFA Outdoor Rec.
