The Power Of Full Stack Engineering

Details

Join us this month as Kyle Rowland gives an in depth presentation on the benefits on full stack engineering, as it applies to distributed social networking and blockchain.

Getting our software to really meet the need of our customer is a challenging pursuit. Often times we get close without quite getting all the way there. One of the key techniques that leads to better fit for our solutions is full stack engineering - the practice of delivering our features top to bottom, without dividing labor across technological lines.

We will use the open source project, DSM as an example - getting into the concrete details to show why this technique is such a game changer. Be prepared to dig in deep both technologically and philosophically as together we grow in our ability to make massive impact in the lives of our customers.

What is DSM? It’s an open source project that seeks to democratize both the data and platform management involved in social networking, leveraging its bespoke blockchain implementation to do this while scaling accordingly. We will dive into the guts of this innovative tool to see how only a full stack approach could bring something like this to life.

Kyle Rowland has spent in excess of 20 years delivering software solutions across a broad set of industries – from the United States Defense Department to financial services, telecommunications, big data analytics, and just about everything in between.

Leading and building across such a broad set of problem domains and team approaches has given Kyle both an uncommon depth of technical expertise, as well as a unique perspective on the generalized problems that plague all of software development.
