Abstract Fall Doodle Art: Supply List & Instructions
■ Affordable Supply List
• 8x10 canvas panel or stretched canvas (panels are cheaper and great for markers + paint mix).
• Acrylic paint pens (Artistro, Posca, or Shuttle Art brand) – for bold color and layering.
• Water-based markers (Crayola SuperTips or Arteza) – easy to blend with a damp brush.
• Postcard pens / fine liners (Micron, Sharpie Pen, or Dollar Tree fine point pens) – for doodle
outlines and details.
• Optional: pencil and eraser, paper towel or rag, cup of water (for markers), and white gel pen for
highlights.
■ Instructions: Abstract Fall Doodle Art
1 1. Prep & Plan – Lightly sketch flowing shapes like hills, trees, leaves, or swirls. Don’t aim for
realism; build sections for doodles and color.
2 2. Base Colors – Use markers or acrylic paint pens to fill shapes with fall tones (burnt orange,
mustard yellow, olive green, cranberry red, warm brown). Let them blend slightly for depth.
3 3. Add Doodles – Once dry, use fine liners or postcard pens to doodle inside color areas. Try leaf
outlines, swirls, dots, or abstract patterns.
4 4. Highlight & Detail – Use a white gel pen or light paint pen for accents, highlights, or shimmer
lines.
5 5. Finishing Touches – Step back and fill empty spaces with small doodles or dots to unify the
piece.
■ Budget Tip
If you’re new to this, start with Crayola SuperTips ($6), Dollar Tree 8x10 canvas panels (2-pack $1.25),
and a black fine liner pen set ($2–3). You can upgrade to acrylic paint pens late
