This session is hosted at Google’s new offices in Portland, OR. While we wish we can welcome everyone, there is a hard limit of 50 in-person attendees at this facility due to COVID-19 restrictions. We strongly ask that you update your RSVP to free your space for others should your plans change.

6:00 - 6:40 Technology Update - Al Kari

Ramping up: Technology landscape of AI, ML, MLOps and frameworks, and where Artificial Intelligence is headed.

6:40 - 7:20 MLOps - Andrew Ferlitsch

Google Cloud AI's definition of the 8 stages of MLOps for enterprise scale production. In addition to covering the steps, actions and artifacts, we will present how Vertex AI products and services fit into each MLOps stage. The presentation will finish with a quick overview of Google Cloud AI Developer Relation's git repo for MLOps with Vertex AI notebook tutorials.

7:20 - 8:00 Vertex AI Lab walkthrough - Chris Thompson

Finding the right tools for your machine learning stack can be daunting. Vertex AI aims to simplify the machine learning lifecycle by providing a comprehensive suite of tools that address all steps in the machine learning lifecycle. This session will show you how easy it is to deploy a model using the Vertex AI tools.

Speakers:

Al Kari leads Manceps which delivers large enterprise AI/ML solutions, and a Google Developer Expert (GDE) in Machine Learning.

Andrew Ferlitsch is an expert on deep learning and MLOps at Google Cloud AI Developer Relations where he supports customer facing staff assisting enterprise customers successfully onboard Vertex AI services into large scale production environments.

Chris Thompson is a Sr. MLOps Engineer at Radiology Partners and Captain of the Portland Python Pyrates, one of the largest Python Meetups in the Portland metro area.
