The University of music and performing arts organises towards the end of the semester some student concerts which are open to the public.

Tonight there will be a series of student performances focussed on classical music from string instruments in chamber composition, I.e. small group rather than a whole orchestra. May also include some modern pieces, the program is not pre-published. Entrance is free but there will be voluntary donations for the Students collected. The venue is a few mins walk from U-bahn stop Grüneburgweg.

We meet in the Lobby 19:15 and proceed to the big hall as soon as doors open (cross the lobby to the back left, go through the door and then the first door left from the hallway). You can come any time later but then you need to be very silent entering and run risk of not sitting with the group and hence not meeting people before the break. Though not very likely, some weekend events in the past were completely full and very late arrivers could not enter.

The concert starts at 19:30 and there will be some breaks in between in which usually alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are sold, but no food, so have early dinner or bring a snack. Payment in cash only. We will also meet, get to know each other and chit-chat about the performances during the break. The event extends till after 10pm but the host will leave somewhat earlier, feel free to watch all of it.
