Dance, Concerts&Dinner @Semana Latinamericana
Details
As every year, the Semana Latinamericana festival comes with movies, discussions and performances related to Latin America. It‘s a privately organised Initiative, funded by different sponsors. Entrance to most events is free and voluntary donations are collected by organisers during the event.
Today‘s event combines a little handicrafts market, food and drinks stalls (bring CASH!) and dance and folkloric music performances from Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico and Peru. The exact time schedule is not published, unfortunately. One of the highlights of the program, sometime during the evening, will be the concert of Peruvian solo artist Ephrain Manani (known to those who joined last year) that builds complex sound structures recording loops with different instruments, that blends into a screen projection of touristic highlights of Peru.
We meet 18:30 in big Aula (straight ahead from the entrance) in case there is a concert ongoing, or in the market area in the lobby, to go inside the Aula when the next concert starts.
Between concerts we gather outside in the reception area to chat or try Latin American drinks/ snacks and stroll the handicraft stalls
This event is not for Spanish speakers only, though a lot a Spanish will be spoken at the venue.
You can join any time, location
Updates come during the event on the Meetup page (or in the new Chat if it works).
