A Nano-infested Doomsday RPG about cybernetic misfits and punks raging against the relentless corporate hell. CY_BORG is a complete rules-light, rage-heavy tabletop roleplaying game based on and compatible with MÖRK BORG.
A world constantly in flux; shifting, distorting, always reborn as something worse. Destruction by ecological catastrophes, the fallout of history's belligerence; by modern man-made miseries or the blook spilled by the reckless machine of capitalist supremacy. Mankind's greatest ability truly is to destroy itself in creative ways. Designer demise, consumer-customized death, endlessly on repeat. Poisonous space rocks, nuclear weapons, cyclical revolutions, warring nations, warring corporations, warring neighbors; pandemics, tsunamis, volcanoes, In Between it all: direct person-machine interfaces, tactical neural implants, and bacteria from outer space hijacking intercellular nanorobotics. And the sky is full of ads.

" The greatest obstacle to discovery is not ignorance - it is the illusion of knowledge." - Daniel Boorstin
It is mid-September 1813. A change in weather heralds one of the last dances of the summer season - the Northlake Ball. The Northlakes are known to be excellent hosts, making this annual soiree one of the most anticipated highlights of the year in Tarryford - it means that all the gentry of the town will no doubt be attending. And you got an invite!
However, during a lull in the festivities, you observe the Northlake's daughter, Elizabeth Northlake among a group of friends, talking in hushed tones. It appears that they've discovered an oddity in the Hall that may warrant some interesting distraction for the evening. What harm could come of it.....?
Regency Cthulhu takes place in 1810s England: a time of social niceties, grand balls, romantic intrigues and disappointments—as described in the novels of Jane Austen. Yet through the lens of the Cthulhu Mythos, horrors weave themselves into the hearts of everyday Georgians—from the richest to the poorest. Step into the Regency era and work to uncover the dark secrets at the heart of the town of Tarryford: twisted horrors that have lain dormant for centuries now seek to burst forth into England.
Please come online early or on time, as we will have a limited time to play. I will have Pre-Generated Characters prepared for play. We should be done by 11pm. Call of Cthulhu uses a 2 d10 percent based system along with the "basic set" of dice used for RPGs (d20, d10, d8, d6, and d4). This game will be held online on the groups Discord Server via Voice Chat. We have a bot in the Server that can handle Dice rolls but Live rolling is allowed.

A heads up as to how I run games. I go for full horror. What that means, is slow moments of tension followed by moments of high terror. A roller coaster, if you will. Humor has its place at the table as long as it is within the game narrative. Please keep outside humor to a minimum as it distracts from the game. I also tend to focus on ROLEplay over ROLLplay. I have run games where dice rolls have been in the single digits. I am also flexible with the rules, which the main hard rule being If you roll equal or lower then your skill, you succeed and if higher, you fail. Everything else is up to me. No Rules Lawyers Please. Also Progression is not prominent in my games and this is because characters tend not to last too long. If your character survives 3 to 4 adventures, they will be a bit improved but your attachment to the character will be more based on the experiences he/she went through. Its about your STORY not your STATS. If none of this seems to be a match for your mentality, I would suggest trying another game, but if you are willing to give this play style a chance, feel free to attend.

- Fine Country Folk (Shadow of the Demon Lord)Link visible for attendees
Fine Country Folk, a Shadow of the Demon Lord adventure for a group of novice characters (Level 1), thrusts a group into the midst of a deadly struggle between two twisted and murderous families who make their home in the Lonely Vale (think Texas Chainsaw Massacre or the Wrong Turn franchise but with Fantasy elements).
NOTE: This adventure will likely take more than one session!
Adventure Synopsis: Those who live beyond civilization’s bounds face a daily, brutal struggle just to survive the hazards and horrors of the vast wilderness they call home. In the rolling hills and deep forests where few willingly tread, one can find all manner of hungry, violent things: from rabid animals and brutish beastmen to ravenous ogres and other terrible monsters who defy description. While the constant press of both danger and isolation often drives ordinary folks to dark and brutal acts to ensure they live to see another day, none of what these people might do comes close to the horrific deeds carried out by the two clans living in the Lonely Vale.
About the Game System: Shadow of the Demon Lord is a horror fantasy tabletop role-playing game styled after Dungeons and Dragons Fifth edition but with a streamlined ruleset that emphasises horror elements. The game takes place in a world standing on the brink of the apocalypse. The cause is the Demon Lord, a boundless evil being of staggering power who authors the catastrophes blighting the landscape.Shadow of the Demon Lord is played with two types of dice: a d20 and a d6. Instead of using a scaling set of numbers to model easier and harder tasks, the game uses banes and boons. For each positive circumstance that could help the player succeed, they have a boon. For each negative circumstance that might prevent their success, they have a bane. Banes and boons cancel each other out. When attempting to complete a task, for each bane or boon, the player rolls a d6 with their d20. Of the numbers rolled for boons, they add the highest number rolled to the number they rolled on the d20. Conversely, of all the numbers rolled for banes, they subtract the highest number rolled from the number they rolled on the d20.

How I Like to run games: I prefer role-play heavy but with crunchy and brutal combat encounters. Your character may die, but it WILL be cinematic. I also prefer to run games that are adult oriented - expect maximum horror, gore, and psychological fuckery. I am not a slave to rules, except for one: the rule of cool. If you can describe what your character does with flare and gravitas I’ll allow it. If the game goes well and your characters survive, this could lead into a short campaign.
