Mobile App Testing - Start Of A Journey - Michael Dixon

Welcome back to the MOT meetup.

After hosting the TestBash conference last month, we are delighted to be back to our monthly talks.

This month we have a good friend of ours speaking, Michael Dixon.

Here is what he has to say about his talk:

"I had been working in the financial services industry for around eight years, and decided that it wasn't really for me anymore. I had worked on many different projects, all web based, and with a few different companies and just felt jaded by renewal commission, adviser charges and death penalty calculations.

So almost two years ago, I decided to make a change and made a conscious decision to try and get into the mobile testing world. I had done my prep and felt confident in my ability in being able to be a good mobile tester, but realised that there is a lot more to it than meets the eye.

So what I'm going to do is talk through the experience I had from switching over from a web based to a more mobile world, some of basic things needed to be able to test on mobile. The problems we faced and how we are trying to overcome them in my company."
