Lets's Talk Shift Left Test Strategies and Conversational AI with Admiral

For our last Test Talks Wales of 2023, we have the awesome folk over at Admiral opening their doors to us for the first time at their Cardiff office 😍🎄

Here's how the evening tends to run

• 5:30 pm: Doors open – feel free to turn up from then. We will have pizza and soft drinks, all free, courtesy of our hosts at Admiral. Grab a slice, mingle with our friendly crowd, and make some new connections. Need an introduction? Just grab our organiser Sam, or dive right in and say "hello!"
• Some time between 6 and and 6:15 pm: It's showtime! We'll kick off the talks with a break in between for more pizza and refreshments.

Talk 1: Bhuvana Dhayalan – Shifting left with testing

Bhuvana is a Senior Chapter Lead working with Admiral and has been in the tech industry for over 13 years.

The Software Testing landscape has witnessed a lot of evolution over the years, and one of the key approaches in recent years is "Shift Left Testing". While the importance of shifting left is widely recognised, there are few references as to the 'how'.
In this talk Bhuvana will talk about 'How' Shift Left Testing can be achieved.

Talk 2: David Payne - How to automate end to end testing when your system uses voice as its front end

David is a chapter lead for QA in Admiral, and has been solving various automation testing challenges for ten years.
Within Admiral, the Customer Technology tribe’s focus for the past two years has been rethinking how Admiral identify which agent will be most effective at dealing with a customers call, and to provide the agent with additional context so that the call can be handled efficiently.
In this talk David will discuss how they can utilise conversational AI to help them reliably test a telephony based virtual assistant.
