Testival Meetup #62 - Online Edition

Details

Hello, dear testers!

Note, Google Meet upper limit is 100 attendees.

Here is our agenda for Testival #62.

  1. Ajdin Mustafić, Bornfight, Road to Behavior Driven Development

Our road to BDD started when we needed a solution to our "QA team becoming Agile" problem. In order to do BDD properly, you need your whole team on board, so, like any other process, it was not something that we could do overnight. It required a lot of learning, coaching, and teaching at the same time.

How long did it take, what steps did we make, and what challenges did we face — you will be able to hear all of this in our presentation!

Speaker
Ajdin Mustafić, Software Tester @ Bornfight + surprise guests from our DEV, PM, and Design teams.

About Bornfight

Q&A for the QA by QA

2.5 Vidhi Mody:- "Bump"ing up WebdriverIO: v4 to v6

WebdriverIO is one of the, if not, most popular javascript browser automation frameworks. With WebdriverIO v7 out, this talk introduces patterns and safeguards to be kept in mind while migrating from older versions of WebdriverIO to the latest in production and do so hassle-free.

2.5 Soham Parekh - Comparing Javascript Browser Automation Frameworks - Cypress vs Jest-Puppeteer vs WebdriverIO vs Playwright

Choosing a browser automation framework can be difficult, especially when your end goal is to use them as a part of the end-to-end testing suite. Which one should you go for? Where is the future headed in terms of automated testing in Javascript? Let's find out!

Both Vidhi Mody and Soham Parekh were Google Summer of Code interns under Zeljko's mentorship for Wikimedia Foundation.

Q&A for the QA by QA

Yes, this is what we enjoy doing, a lot of questions for our speakers about the talk!
