Underwater Hockey Taster Session
Tewkesbury Leisure Centre, Gloucester Road, Tewkesbury, GBJoin our FREE taster session to learn how to play underwater hockey. All abilities are welcome and equipment is provided.
- 7:30pm Meet at Tewkesbury Leisure Centre
- 8:00pm - 9:30pm In the pool
What is underwater hockey?
Underwater Hockey is a team game played on the bottom of the swimming pool, so players need to hold their breath whilst playing. However, you can come up for air and go back down as many times as you need to.There are two teams competing to get a small weighted puck into their opponents’ goal. Players wear a mask, snorkel, fins, water polo hat and a glove.
Underwater Hockey is a great way to stay fit. No two games will ever be the same, so why not try something different? We promise you won’t get bored!
Who can join?
New players of all abilities are very welcome to join us – you just need to be over 18 years old and be able to swim.There’s no need to bring any specialist kit – we provide you with everything that you need – just let us know you are coming beforehand so we can make sure we have everything ready for you.
