Kayaking in Red River Gorge, Kentucky

Details

Kentucky's underground kayaking adventure awaits at Red River Gorge! Paddle through the crystal-clear waters of an abandoned mine, surrounded by stunning rock formations and unique wildlife. As you navigate the underground passages, the glow of your headlamp will reveal hidden wonders, including salamanders, cave crickets, and even the occasional bat. With guided tours available, you'll learn about the history and geology of the mine while experiencing the thrill of kayaking in the dark. Don't forget to dress in layers, as the underground climate can be chilly. It's an exciting way to connect with nature while discovering the state's hidden gems.
The average temps in June are 83 - 63, July 86 - 66 and August 85 - 65. The last weekend in July, first in August, when it is hotter here in Texas is what I have selected. Could change.
