Firewood Cutting & Splitting Event

Campfires are an important part of camping. In Texas, campfires are a year round tradition and not necessarily about staying warm. They are peaceful and relaxing and a perfect setting to share stories and laughter and get to know other campers. This group can burn a lot of wood so let's stock up. We will be splitting cordwood with Rubins hydraulic splitter and dropping and cutting a big standing dead tree. Bring your chainsaw if you have one. No experience necessary, just bring appropriate clothing and gloves. You can take some wood home and camp out if you want to. Event is predicated on it being dry enough to drive our trucks and equipment back there.
