Tyler State Park Camping and Dining

Greetings Campers and Diners! NTC&D is goin to Tyler State Park, in east Texas. The dates are from May 14th to May 17th, 2026. There are two camping sites reserved so far; Sites 504 and 505 on Dogwood Ridge. Some folks will arrive Thursday afternoon and some will come on Friday or Saturday, but there’s no set times for anything, just come on out when you can. Most peeps will be leaving on Sunday around noon or so.

I reserved 2 spots side by side to accommodate 4 tents per site at Dogwood Ridge, Sites 504 and 505, and they can hold up to 8 peeps or so. Also. if possible, try to get your own site nearby and we can all hang out together. The Dogwood Ridge sites have amazing views.
On Friday morning some may go to a nearby town to have breakfast and explore some shops and museums. Then in the afternoon there’s a day hike on one of the Hiking Trails, Also, paddlers will go out on the lake for a while, I know I am, and then swimming if you're so inclined. There are kayak and canoe rentals on Tyler Lake. Then Friday evening there may be some pizza and then we can sit around the fire and enjoy the night air.
Saturday morning, after coffee and breakfast, some peeps will walk the beautiful main trail. In the afternoon, more paddling or we might visit Lindale, Tyler or Minneola, and go to some antique shops; plus there's Bryan’s Cheesecakes.
Saturday evening we may carpool to the famous Briscuit Love in Lindale, and/or there's several dining options in Tyler too. After dinner we’ll drive back to the Lake and sit around the campfire. Marshmallows if I remember!
Sunday morning after coffee and slowly packing up, if anyone wants to, we can stop in Tyler or Lindale for brunch or lunch on the way home.
